Building a career in international development or humanitarian space requires that you become skilled and knowledgeable. These gives you an edge, positions you, opens and extend opportunities for you to actualize your dreams of entry and thriving.

The Career Leap Series is created to give you a leap if the above describes you. The Career Leap Series is a specialized capacity building incubation hub for those wanting to join the international development or humanitarian space. It provides an enabling opportunity for preparation, readiness and sharpening of capacities.

The Career Leap Series seeks to achieve this purpose and objectives 
It seeks to equip, empower and enable young Nigerians for international development space by

• Building skills and knowledge of young Nigerians for international development.
• Building capacity on critical and fundamental skills areas require to excel.
• Developing your capacity to understand, engage and develop solutions for making impact – delivering programmes, projects or initiatives.
• Building leadership capacity to enable you thrive within all types of nonprofit work.

Mode of Training

• The series will run for a 15 days period featuring a team of experts in the international development and humanitarian fields
• IT IS FREE and VIRTUAL. Registration is mandatory. Only shortlisted participants will join the sessions
• Each session will be approx. 1 hour with a 30 mins for questions and interaction
• Series of take-home exercises and introduction to various tools.
• It will feature topics linked to the SDGs, practical sessions and assignments to help you internalize your knowledge and develop skill

Eligibility

• Interested in working in International Development or humanitarian
• Have 1–2-year experience in international development and humanitarian and want to improve
• No experience or new to international Development but interested in the taking a step into the sector.
• Desire to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals
• Ability to attend all the sessions and participate in the practical sessions
• Internet availability for all virtual sessions
• Willingness to learn and gain new knowledge and skills
